SUBJECT:    CONSTRUCTION ALERT – Blacks Beach Access Road Repair

Project Description/Locations:

The Blacks Beach Access Road will be closed for repairs for approximately one week from February 29 to March 6, 2016, due to significant damage and collapse sustained during recent storms and tidal surges. UC San Diego is taking immediate action to repair this road so that Lifeguard, Fire Department, and Emergency Medical Service providers may access the beach from this point.

Immediate Street Traffic, Bicycle and Pedestrian Impacts:

The access road to Black’s Beach will be closed for safety reasons to both pedestrian and vehicular traffic for the duration of emergency repair work, from February 29 to March 6, 2016 (weather dependent).
