ALL ACADEMICS, STAFF AND STUDENTS AT UC SAN DIEGO

SUBJECT:    Timely Warning - Arson

On 03/09/16 at about 1:54 pm and 03/10/16 at 8:52 am, the UC San Diego Police Department received a report of arson that occurred in an academic building public restroom. The arson on 03/09/16 occurred at about 8:30 am inside a first floor unisex restroom at the Price Center. The arson on 03/10/16 occurred at about 1:30 pm inside a first floor men's restroom at the Natural Sciences Building. In each case, University property was intentionally set on fire and the suspect was described as possibly an Asian male, in his early 20s, about 5'7" tall, with a slim build and he was wearing a light colored jacket.

The suspect has not been apprehended and the investigation is on-going.
