RESOURCE MANAGEMENT AND PLANNING June 9, 2016
Motorists are being urged to steer clear of the Interstate 5/Genesee Avenue interchange from June 17-26. During this time, crews will build new freeway on- and off-ramps and move traffic onto the newly constructed north side of the bridge. The work, part of ongoing improvements to the interchange, is being managed by Caltrans. What to expect:
· Reduced lanes during the day and intermittent lane closures at night
on Genesee Avenue between Science Center Drive and Scripps Hospital. To view the schedule of planned closures and associated detours, visit http://www.KeepSanDiegoMoving.com/Genesee. To plan your commute and find alternate routes, visit http://www.ShiftSanDiego.com, a resource created by the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) and Caltrans to help travelers navigate through construction areas.
