SUBJECT:    CONSTRUCTION ALERT – Central Utility Plant Chiller Demolition

Project Location/Description:

Two chillers located in the Central Utility Plant will be demolished and removed. In order to provide access for construction work, Herbert York Lane, south of York Hall and the Central Utility Plant, will be barricaded on Monday, December 26, 2017 at 6:00am through Tuesday, December 27, 2017 at 6:00pm to allow for a crane set up and for the removal of the chillers from the CUP. Herbert York Lane provides access for deliveries to the York Hall loading dock and is not a main route for vehicular traffic.

Immediate Parking Lot, Street Traffic, and Pedestrian Impacts:

There will be no access to Herbert York Lane and York Hall shipping and receiving area and Parking Lot P108 during the construction activity. In the event of an emergency, the road will be cleared to allow for emergency vehicles access if required. In an effort to minimize impact in this area, the project has been scheduled over campus closure days.
