2018 Research IT Faculty Showcase

UC San Diego faculty showcase their research facilitated by new Research
IT Services on Tuesday, October 23 from 2:30-5:00PM in Atkinson Hall
Auditorium. The campus community is invited to attend lightning talks of
exciting research projects across several disciplines here at UC San
Diego:

* Tom DeFanti, Research Scientist, Qualcomm Institute / Calit2
* Robert Hevner, Professor and Director of Neuropathology
* Munseob Lee, Assistant Professor of Economics, School of Global Policy
& Strategy

You can visit poster presentations of cutting edge IT services for U
San Diego researchers. The Showcase will provide an overview of IT
services available to UC San Diego faculty and research staff.

Responding to the challenges of the next century, the Campus Strategic
Plan recommends new information technology services to support all
disciplines in their research work. Research IT Services, now in its
third year, provides the campus-wide approach - coordinated with
Research Affairs, the Library, SDSC, Qualcomm Institute, IT Services,
and IT professionals in the schools and divisions-to develop
leading-edge integrated solutions to meet the needs of diverse faculty,
staff, and students.
