Oracle ERP Cloud Selected as New Financial Information System

We are pleased to announce Oracle ERP Cloud as UC San Diego's new
comprehensive financial management solution. Projected to go live in
2020, Oracle ERP Cloud will provide a modern, intuitive solution to
effectively plan, budget, manage and steward the university's assets and
resources.

This decision comes after a nine-month competitive bid process that
included campus-wide participation from more than 100 stakeholders and
subject matter experts. Prospective vendors were evaluated on several
factors, including commitment, stability and alignment with UC San
Diego's vision.

Throughout the process, Oracle consistently proved its ability to meet
the university's needs and its depth of experience in higher education.
In partnering with Oracle, UC San Diego has invested in a comprehensive,
integrated and scalable financial management solution.

The selection phase was supported by Procurement and the Financial
Information System (FIS) project team, part of the Enterprise Systems
Renewal program designed to reshape the way UC San Diego does business.
This core project team, along with campus and UC San Diego Health and
partner representatives, will begin assembling work groups to plan and
execute the transition to the new solution.
