ALL STAFF AT UC SAN DIEGO

SUBJECT:    UC San Diego Staff Association's Annual Holiday Breakfast

You are invited to celebrate the holiday season with your colleagues and friends at the UC San Diego Staff Association's 44th Annual Holiday Breakfast, which will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2018, in the Price Center Ballrooms from 7:00am – 10:00am. We will not have separate seatings this year in an effort to accommodate more guests.

This year’s breakfast is free and will be provided to the first 1,500 UC San Diego staff members who order their ticket online through Eventbrite starting Thursday, December 6th at noon, until tickets are sold out. You can access Eventbrite and get additional information about the breakfast by visiting https://ucsdstaffappreciationbreakfast.eventbrite.com. In order to ensure that as many staff as possible may attend the breakfast, employees are limited to one ticket per person.

The annual arts and crafts fair, featuring homemade items crafted by our UC San Diego staff members, will again be held in conjunction with the breakfast. You are also encouraged to bring a beanie baby for the NICU drive, items for the Homeless Veterans Drive or an unwrapped toy for our annual holiday toy drive. More information can be found at http://staffassociation.ucsd.edu/.

Parking will be available for all off-campus staff members. Gilman parking structure will not require specific campus passes. Parking in “V” and “B” spaces will be allowed with any UC San Diego parking pass from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 19th only. Limited cart service will also be available from the parking structure for those who need additional assistance.

Additionally, Volunteer50 is looking for volunteers to help at the Breakfast. All volunteers will receive a breakfast ticket. For more information, visit https://volunteer50.ucsd.edu/event/staff-breakfast/.

In recognition of this annual event, I am approving one hour of administrative leave with pay to enable employees to attend the breakfast. Therefore, supervisors may grant employees one hour of administrative leave as long as the absence does not infringe upon the performance of required job duties or patient care.

I hope you will join us for this annual fun-filled holiday tradition.
