ALL ACADEMICS AND STAFF AT UC SAN DIEGO

SUBJECT:    Launch of Health Sciences Research Strategic Plan is Open

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Health Sciences launched a collaborative effort to draft the next Health Sciences Research Strategic Plan that will guide our research priorities over the next five years. Our committee identified 10 areas of research that span multiple disciplines from engineering for precision medicine to climate change on human health. During the next stage of building our strategic plan, we seek your ideas to flesh out these areas in visionary directions.

We invite you to submit your feedback by visiting our IdeaWave campaign: https://ideawave.hypeinnovation.com/login?/servlet/hype. Log in using your UCSD email credentials and click on the campaign “Building the Next Health Sciences Research Strategic Plan”. The “Overview” provides instructional guidelines for submitting your feedback. The “Ideas” page lists each of the 10 research areas that offer a summary and questions to consider.

Submissions end on 4/2/18. The submission period will then be followed by a week during which you will be able to vote on submitted ideas that you consider the most important for inclusion in the Health Sciences Strategic Plan.

By joining the conversation, you become stakeholders in the future of science. Your insights will help us define critical areas of future need and areas of strategic growth that will transform the future of research in Health Sciences. We are confident that with your help we will continue to remain a leader in academic research.
