ALL ACADEMICS, STAFF, AND STUDENTS AT UC SAN DIEGO
All southbound lanes on Interstate 5, from the I-805 merge to La Jolla Village Drive, will be temporarily closed overnight on Thursday, March 8 and Tuesday, March 13 due to Gilman Drive Bridge construction. Crews will be adjusting falsework and coordinating concrete pours to form the understructure of the bridge. Motorists should anticipate delays and take alternate routes to avoid potential congestion. Closures are scheduled as follows and subject to change: Thursday, March 8: · Full closure of Southbound I-5 from the I-805 merge to La Jolla Village Drive · Thursday, March 8 through early morning Friday, March 9 (from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.). Tuesday, March 13: · Full closure of Southbound I-5 from the I-805 merge to La Jolla Village Drive · Tuesday, March 13 through early morning Wednesday, March 14 (from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.) Southbound motorists will be detoured via Interstate 805.
