SUBJECT:    June 5, 2018 Representative Assembly Meeting

Dear Colleagues:

The final meeting of the 2017-18 academic year is scheduled for Tuesday, June 5th at 3:30 p.m., in the Garren Auditorium of the Biomedical Sciences Building (first floor). The Notice of Meeting (agenda) and all pertinent documents may be found at the following two locations:

The Chancellor will address the Assembly at this meeting. Robert Clossin, Director-Campus Planning, will discuss the campus long-range development plans, and Joel King, AVC and Campus Architect, will provide an update on the North Torrey Pines Living & Learning Neighborhood project. Proposals will be made to grant academic unit status to the Halicioglu Data Science Institute (HDSI); to amend Divisional Senate Regulation 600, Campus Graduation Requirements - (A)(3) Double Majors & (C) Maximum Unit Limitation; and to establish MS & PhD degrees in Electrical & Computer Engineering (Machine Learning and Data Science).
