OFFICE OF THE CHIEF INFORMATION SECURITY OFFICER
June 7, 2018
ALL ACADEMICS, STAFF AND STUDENTS AT UC SAN DIEGO
SUBJECT: | Upgrade to Single Sign-On System |
We are pleased to announce an upgrade to UC San Diego’s Single Sign-On
(SSO) system, which is the common username and password combination that
you use to log in to campus applications.
The upgrade is tentatively scheduled to begin June 20 and last two
weeks. During the transition, you may need to enter your credentials
twice to access certain systems. Other than that, you shouldn’t
experience any other service issues. The upgrade is called Shibboleth 3.3 and lays the foundation to deploy
future service and security updates. We chose the go-live date to avoid
disruption of instructor grade entry and other end-of-quarter
activities. We encourage you to bring any concerns or questions to us at
shib3info@ucsd.edu.
Information about this upgrade is also available on Blink:

For any technical difficulties contact the Service Desk at
servicedesk@ucsd.edu or (858) 246-4357.
