CONSTRUCTION ALERT – Scripps Institution of Oceanography (SIO) Emergency Power Improvement – Data Cable Installation

Project Description/Location:

On August 27, 2018, data cables will be pulled from the Revelle Switch
Station to SIO, Deep Sea Drilling’s new electrical switchgear. The pull
includes existing telecom manholes in the sidewalk and will result in
temporary closure of some street parking during the installation. UC San
Diego parking lots will remain open and accessible during construction.

Immediate Street Traffic, Bicycle Lane and Pedestrian Impacts:

Pedestrian and bicycle traffic may be impacted during construction.
Flaggers will be present to redirect traffic to adjacent sidewalks and
routes, as needed, but please exercise caution during construction
activity.
