ALL ACADEMICS AND STAFF AT UC SAN DIEGO

SUBJECT:    Funds Available for Staff Training and Career Development

In support of our mission and values, UC San Diego recognizes the
importance of providing and financially supporting staff education,
training and professional development opportunities. Continuous
learning enhances our capacity to perform and builds our sense of
community. It enables all of us to acquire skills to keep pace with
fast-changing demands that emerge from campus growth, advancing
technology, and the challenges we take on pursuing career growth within
the university.

The Staff Equal Opportunity Enrichment Program (SEOEP) provides training
and career development funds for individuals and departments. On the
individual level, the program provides up to $500.00 for training
activities to eligible staff employees seeking a promotion or career
change. Similarly, the program provides financial assistance to support
vice chancellor/department training and development programs that will
enhance the skills of employees to prepare them for career advancement.

The application period for the 2018-19 Staff Equal Opportunity
Enrichment Program is now open.

Individual and vice chancellor/department proposals for SEOEP funds must
be received by Friday, August 31, 2018.

learning opportunities.
