Dear Colleagues,
Come volunteer at the 2018 New Student Welcome Convocation & Dinner on Monday, September 24th, 2018. Convocation marks our UC San Diego students' formal entrance into the UC San Diego academic community. This marquee event of Welcome Week is held at RIMAC field and is characterized as the beginning bookend with the Commencement ceremony. This year, over 7,000 new students will attend Convocation with their colleges to enjoy a warm welcome message from campus leadership, esteemed faculty, Alumni and their A.S. President. Immediately following the ceremony, the new students are invited to enjoy dinner with their peers and to meet faculty representatives from each of UC San Diego’s academic divisions. Please consider volunteering at Convocation 2018 to help usher in our new incoming class of first year and transfer students.
