SUBJECT:    Launch of Privacy Office Website and Upcoming Trainings

The University of California San Diego is pleased to announce that the
Campus Privacy Office has launched its new website. The website is a
resource for all individuals affiliated with the campus to learn more
about privacy, the University's privacy policy, and services offered
through our Privacy Office. To learn more and register for upcoming
trainings, please visit the website at http://privacy.ucsd.edu.

UC San Diego is strongly committed to protecting the privacy of all
faculty, students, alumni, staff, applicants, and research participants
and promoting the values of academic integrity, intellectual freedom,
autonomy, and freedoms of expression and association. The Campus Privacy
Office was formed in 2018 to establish, implement, and administer a
comprehensive privacy program to serve the UC San Diego campus. This
includes developing a privacy governance structure; providing relevant
training, education, and awareness for students, faculty, and staff;
advising and counseling campus constituents on best practices, new laws
and technologies, data subject requests, and potential institution-wide
risks; and assisting with investigations and responses to campus privacy
incidents.

We would like to invite you to our upcoming Introduction to Privacy at
UC San Diego Trainings scheduled for the following dates:

. Wednesday, January 16, 2:00pm - 4:00pm, UC 111a Conference Room
. Thursday, January 31, 9:00am - 11:00am, Dolores Huerta Conference Room
