SUBJECT:    Revisions to the UC San Diego Student Conduct Code

The Office of Student Conduct is proposing a set of revisions to the UC
San Diego Student Conduct Code to go into effect for Summer/Fall 2019.
Some of the key proposed changes include:

* More closely aligning the Code with the University of California
Policy on Student Conduct Discipline and reconstituting it as the
Student Conduct Procedures.

* Revising the process for appointing student members to the Community
Standards Board.

* Updated and clarified the Interim Actions section to provide more
detailed information about the interim suspension process.

* Revising the time period for reporting out student conduct records.

The proposed changes have been reviewed and discussed by the Student
Conduct Standards Group. After incorporating feedback from the group,
the proposed changes are now available for review and comment by the
greater campus community.

To view a summary of the proposed changes and redlined versions of the
Student Conduct Procedures showing the proposed changes, go to

Please direct all public comments on the proposed changes to Ben White,
Director of the Office of Student Conduct at studentconduct@ucsd.edu by
