Welcome back to a new academic year! I would like to take the opportunity to remind you that all Senate members are invited to attend Representative Assembly meetings. The Chancellor or the Executive Vice Chancellor address the Assembly at each meeting and provide updates to the faculty on current topics of interest. New graduate degree programs and modifications to Divisional Senate bylaws and regulations, which govern Senate operations and the curriculum, are presented for a vote by the Assembly. Attending Representative Assembly meetings is a great way to stay informed and to participate in the UCSD educational community.
All meetings will be held on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. in Garren Auditorium of the Biomedical Sciences Building (BSB) on the dates below.
· October 15, 2019
Meeting agendas are posted on the Senate’s website five instructional days before each meeting. The Senate’s website also provides information on the structure of the Senate, the work performed by Senate committees, and information on topics of interest to faculty.

If you are interested in nominating yourself or another Senate member, please contact Ashley Welch at 4-9070 or email@example.com. Nominating petitions are due in the Senate Office by 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 3rd.
As the Chair of the Senate, it is my responsibility and privilege to represent the interests of the faculty. Accordingly, please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 4-3640 schedule time to speak with me or to meet with me in the Senate Office.
