Required Notification of Potential Workplace Exposure Locations
UC San Diego has developed a multifaceted, proactive strategy to detect SARS CoV-2 (which causes COVID-19) in our community so that we can reduce transmission of virus on the campus to the greatest extent possible. One of these strategies is weekly testing of students, faculty, and staff that are on campus. When UC San Diego receives notice that an individual infected with COVID‐19 was present on a UC San Diego worksite, the specific locations impacted will be shared at the following dashboard, effective 01/01/2021: https://returntolearn.ucsd.edu/dashboard/exposure.html. We are required to notify you daily about these potential exposures.
Please review the dashboard and if you were present at the same worksite during the periods indicated, read the information on how to get tested, the campus disinfection and safety plan, and the COVID-19 related benefits available to you here.
Please note that being present at the same worksite as a COVID-19 positive individual does not necessarily mean you were exposed to the virus as currently defined by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). UC San Diego medical staff review cases of positive individuals and perform contact tracing, which includes calling close contacts of the positive individual. All close contacts are notified as soon as possible.
Please visit the Daily COVID-19 Dashboard for up-to-date information on positive waste water signals at UC San Diego. This information is made available to support students and employees in making timely decisions about testing.
This notification is being provided pursuant to AB 685 - California Labor Code § 6409.6, and Title 8 California Code of Regulations § 3205(c)(3)(B)(3).
