JANUARY-DECEMBER 2006 SPECIAL NOTICE: The UCSD Policy and Procedure Manual was discontinued in paper form effective January 1, 1999. The former campus paper manuals have been replaced by documents converted to electronic format. All new and updated policies are in html format. We are in the process of providing Exhibits and Supplements in both HTML and PDF formats for ease of viewing, filling in forms, and printing documents. All new revisions should be complete, older policies are being updated on an ongoing basis. 10-0.1 Senior Vice Chancellor-Academic Affairs Organization Chart The Senior Vice Chancellor-Academic Affairs Organization Chart has been revised to reflect recent changes in organization. These include the appointments of the Vice Chancellor for Research and the Dean, Graduate Students. As well as the reassignment of Technology Transfer and Intellectual Properties and the Office of Contracts and Grants to Research. The chart is effective 12/1/2006.
516-1 UCSD Health & Safety Policy This issuance implements management initiatives to integrate health, safety, and environmental considerations into all activities to ensure the protection of all. The goal is to prevent all workplace injuries and illnesses, environmental incidents, and property losses or damage. Emphasizes the role of the supervisor in attaining this goal and activities requiring advanced authorization. This issuance is effective 12/1/2006.

These include the appointment of the Academic Integrity Coordinator as well as title changes. The chart is effective 11/1/2006.
OCTOBER SEPTEMBER SECTION 200 - PERSONNEL-GENERAL 200-9 Supplement I UCSD Disability Access Guidelines PPM 200-9, Supplement I, UCSD Contacts for Americans with Disabilities Act list h as been updated to reflect personnel changes. The list is effective as of 9/18/2006. There are no other changes.
395-10 SUP I Employee Benefit Expenditures, Schedule of Employer Matching Contribution Rates, Supplement I Supplement I, Schedule of Employer Matching Contribution Rates, of PPM 395, Employee Benefit Expenditures, was updated to reflect the rates effective 7/1/2006. Changes were made to the following items: I. Retirement - PERS FICA and PERS-NonFICA, II. Group Health Insurance - OPEB and Benefit Administration, V. Workers' Compensation Insurance, VII. Unemployment Insurance, X. Incentive Award Program and XI. Staff Recognition Development Award.
510-12 UCSD Acceptable Use Policy for Ucsd Television Stations Broadcasting on the Triton Cable Network PPM 510-12, UCSD Acceptable Use Policy for UCSD Television Stations Broadcasting on the Triton Cable Network has been issued to outline the use of the Triton Cable Network by campus televisions stations. Access to the Network for broadcasting is contingent upon adherence to this policy. This policy is effective as of 9/1/2006.

100-6 Policy on the Use of Animals in Research and Teaching The University recognizes the importance of the use of animals in research and teaching and is committed to maintaining high standards for the care and use of animals. UCSD has adopted the “U.S. Government Principles for the Utilization and Care of Vertebrate Animals Used in Testing, Research, and Training” as its own. Principal Investigators and other researchers responsible for the use of animals are subject to the Investigator Assurances listed in this policy. All individuals involved in the use of animals must adhere to the principles and requirements for the use of animals. JULY
