The revision clarifies the content and significantly improves the presentation of UCSD's academic appointment policy. The revised policy and updated supporting documents encompass suggestions from the Academic Senate, including the Committee on Academic Personnel (CAP) and the Committee on Affirmative Action and Diversity (CAAD), as well as other members of the campus community. This policy is effective 2/27/2007.

516-7 Controlled Substances For Research, Teaching, And Veterinary Care
Controlled Substances for Research, Teaching and Veterinary Care, PPM 516-7, sets forth policy and responsibilities applicable to the authorization, procurement, receipt, security, storage, control, biennial inventory, and disposal of Controlled Substances, List I and Precursor Chemicals for research, teaching and veterinary care. This policy does not apply to controlled substances dispensed by a practitioner to a patient.
