SUBJECT: Copier Price Increase
During the last seven (7) years, Graphics & Reproduction Services has
avoided increasing convenience copying recharge rates to offset
inflation by aggressively negotiating copier equipment and supply
agreements and by continuously monitoring overhead expenses. We regret
that it is necessary to raise the recharge rate a fraction of a cent
from $0.0425 to $0.0460 per copy.
In order to keep the recharge increase as low as possible for the
majority of the campus users, it also is necessary to place a minimum
charge on certain dedicated machines with volumes below the minimum
break even level. Each department with a low volume machine will be
contacted individually to work out the details of a minimum charge.
The price increase is effective July 1, 1993.

Please be assured that Graphics sincerely regrets the need to increase
the recharge rate during this difficult budget year and has taken many
measures to reduce operating expenses in its efforts to avoid imposing
such an increase sooner.
