I am pleased to announce that on Friday, August 13, 1993, the Staff
Association will sponsor their annual staff appreciation picnic. The
theme for this year's picnic is "UCSD Staff Make the Difference." The
picnic is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Muir Commons.
All University employees are invited to attend this fun-filled event.
Activities will include the 11th annual Vice Chancellors' Volleyball
Tournament, a bake sale, games and a cake-walk. Jewelry and craft
vendors will have booths filled with handcrafted items. A variety of
foods will be available for purchase, including: Rubio's fish tacos,
Gia's pizza, hot dogs and ice cream. Office potlucks are also
encouraged.
Supervisors may allow employees two hours of release time in addition
to the regular half-hour for lunch to attend the picnic if the absence
does not infringe upon the performance of required job duties.
Free parking is available in lots 207 and 208 (north of Muir
College) during the picnic. Should you have any other questions
