SUBJECT: TRIP 93 for AFSCME Covered Employees
The University's 1993-94 voluntary Time Reduction Incentive Plan (TRIP) is now
available to career regular status UC employees covered under the AFSCME
Clerical and Allied Service Unit and the AFSCME Service Unit. Note: The Medical
Center is not participating in TRIP.
For new participants, August 31, 1993 is the deadline to complete the TRIP 93
Election Form with an October 1, 1993 effective date. The bonus leave will be
pro-rated based on a 9-month TRIP from October 1, 1993 through June 30, 1994.
The deadline for receipt in Personnel of the Personnel Action Form (PAF) and the
completed TRIP 93 Election Form is September 3, 1993.
AFSCME covered employees currently on TRIP 92 may extend participation
through June 30, 1994 at the same or different percentage reduction by
completing the TRIP 93 Election Form. For TRIP extensions, the TRIP 93 Election
Form and accompanying PAF must be received by Personnel prior to the
termination of the TRIP 92 commitment.
The purpose and conditions of TRIP 93 remain consistent as provided in the
May 3, 1993 notice.
