OFFICE OF THE VICE CHANCELLOR RESOURCE MANAGEMENT & PLANNING December 2, 1993 KEY ADMINISTRATORS/KEY SUPPORT STAFF SUBJECT: Resource Management & Planning Organization I am pleased to announce the following changes in the Resource Management and Planning organization which will consolidate operations and improve the effectiveness of services provided to the campus in connection with the acquisition of operating and capital resources. * To strengthen linkages with other physical and institutional planning activities, Capital Planning and Budgeting, managed by Jill Dillard, has been clustered with the physical planning and analytical studies functions, all reporting to Jeff Steindorf, Assistant Vice Chancellor-Planning. * The indirect cost analysis, recharge activity coordination and review, and debt financing management functions have been consolidated into the Financial Analysis unit, and are managed by Bill Brophy. Financial Analysis and the Budget Operations, Planning and Analysis unit, now report to Margaret Pryatel, Assistant Vice Chancellor-Resource Management, whose responsibilities will also include administrative oversight of selected special projects, including the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor project, and the I-5 bridge. * As mentioned in the Chancellor's memo of June 24, 1993, the facilities leasing function previously housed in Business Affairs has been reassigned to Nancy Kossan, Director of Real Estate Development. With this change, all real estate transactions where UCSD is a party as either lessee or lessor have been consolidated. Any questions regarding these changes should be directed to the unit heads specified above or Marietta Parrott in my office. John A. Woods Vice Chancellor |
