KEY ADMINISTRATORS/KEY SUPPORT STAFF SUBJECT: Appointment - Director, Internal Audit
I am pleased to announce that, effective August 1, 1994, Stephanie Peterson will replace Miles Bowler as Director, Internal Audit. Ms. Peterson is currently the Audit Manager at the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory. Ms. Peterson brings over seventeen years of audit experience to UCSD, including tenure as Audit Manager, Department of Energy Contracts Audit Group at the Office of the President and Lawrence-Livermore Laboratory.
Miles Bowler, our Director of Internal Audit, has elected to leave the University under VERIP III, effective July 1, 1994. Miles has given UCSD over twenty years of exemplary service. Miles and his staff have done a superb job at protecting and advising while maintaining an excellent relationship with units throughout the campus--not an easy task. We will miss him, but I have every confidence that Stephanie Peterson will continue to provide the campus with the level of service it has come to expect of the Office of Internal Audit. Please join me in welcoming Stephanie Peterson to UCSD.
For July, Paul Phillips will assume the position of Acting Director, Internal Audit. I am certain that he will perform ably, and that the transition will be seamless.
