I am pleased to announce that on Friday, August 12, 1994 the Staff Association will sponsor their annual staff appreciation picnic. The theme of this year's picnic is the "UCSD Staff Shine." The picnic is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Muir Quad. All University employees are invited to attend this fun-filled event.
Activities will include the 12th annual Vice Chancellors' volleyball tournament, a crafts faire, bake sale, cake walk, entertainment, games and contests. A variety of foods will be available for purchase, including: Gia's pizza, Rubio's fish tacos, hot dogs, watermelon, popcorn and snowcones.
Supervisors may allow employees two hours of release time in addition to the regular half-hour for lunch to attend the picnic if the absence does not infringe upon the performance of essential job duties.
Free parking is available in lots 207 and 208 (north of Muir College) during the picnic. Should you have any other questions regarding the picnic, please contact Claire Mizumoto at x43086.
