Appointment - Director of the University Bookstore

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. John Turk as the new
Director of the University Bookstore, succeeding Paul Mares who
elected retirement under the University's early retirement program.

Mr. Turk comes to UCSD with many years experience in directing campus
stores operations, most recently with the Vanderbilt University
Bookstore in Nashville, TN.

Mr. Turk's appointment is effective August 22, 1994. I believe you
will find him to be an excellent addition to the University of
California, San Diego. Please join me in welcoming John to UCSD.
