SUBJECT: | InfoPath Redesign |
The Office of InfoPath Services is pleased to announce the new version
of InfoPath, UCSD's World Wide Web information system. InfoPath has
been redesigned to take advantage of the extensive multimedia
capabilities of the World Wide Web and to better present UCSD's unique
resources and services to UCSD and the community. The new version will
be implemented on September 18, 1995.
You can use InfoPath to access information about UCSD academic
programs such as the UCSD Catalog and academic department home pages;
student information including the Schedule of Classes, admissions
information, and the UCSD Guardian; ROGER and MELVYL, the library
catalogs; administrative resources such as the telephone directory and
the UCSD Employment Opportunities bulletin; the Alumni Association and
Bookstore home pages; and campus computing resources. InfoPath also
contains links to information on San Diego and local, national, and
international news and weather resources. In order to help the UCSD
community navigate the Internet, the Internet section of InfoPath
contains links to popular Internet resources and search tools.
Infopath is available over the World Wide Web at http://www.ucsd.edu.
We recommend using Netscape 1.1 or above in order to experience all
the enhancements of the redesign.
InfoPath is a "work in progress" and will continue to be expanded.
The campus calendar of events, a virtual visit to campus, and a
special search tool to help users locate UCSD resources on InfoPath
are all currently under development. You are invited to browse
InfoPath and to contact us with your comments and questions via email
at feedback@infopath.ucsd.edu.
