OFFICE OF THE ASSISTANT VICE CHANCELLOR - HUMAN RESOURCES September 23, 1996 OFFICERS OF THE ASSOCIATED STUDENTS UCSD KEY ADMINISTRATORS/KEY SUPPORT STAFF OFFICE MAIL DISTRIBUTION CONTACTS SUBJECT: Proposed 1996-97 Salary Range Adjustment for Student Classes (Assistant I-III) Consistent with the proposed range adjustment for non-exclusively represented Staff employees, a proposal is being made to increase the salary ranges for the student classifications of Assistant I-III by 2.0%. In addition, the minimum of the Assistant I range would be increased to comply with the recent legislation raising the federal minimum wage to $4.75/hour. This would provide the following ranges effective October 1, 1996: Assistant I minimum $827/month ($4.75/hour) 12% maximum $1042/month ($5.99/hour) 2% Assistant II minimum $886/month ($5.09/hour) 2% maximum $1335/month ($7.67/hour) 2% Assistant III minimum $1112/month ($6.39/hour) 2% maximum $1669/month ($9.59/hour) 2% Students or other interested parties wishing to comment on the proposed ranges may do so.
