Telephone System Upgrades

Administrative Computing and Telecommunications (ACT) will be implementing
a major hardware and software upgrade to the Campus Telephone system on
Saturday, June 22nd. This will provide UCSD campus with a variety of
enhancements.

Periodic upgrades to the telephone system are a part of our continuing
effort to maintain a state of the art system by providing enhancements to
existing service.

Due to this upgrade procedure, there will be NO telephone service
available on Saturday June 22, beginning at 6:00am until the upgrade
has been completed at approximately 3:00pm the same day.

To facilitate and prepare for this upgrade, there will be a freeze on some
telephone Customer Service Requests (CSR's). This freeze will be in effect
from June 7th to June 25th. Please contact customer assistance at x45530
with concerns or questions.

If you require special arrangements for critical lines to be diverted or
forwarded, please contact Debbe Simmons at extension 47070.
