Notice of Availability of Airfare Discounts to Governmental Entities Airline Antitrust Settlement - Availability of Airfare Discount

On June 20, a notice was transmitted to the campus
explaining that as a result of the settlement of the class
action antitrust suit against the Airline Tariff Publishing
Company on behalf of government travelers, a ten percent
(10%) discount on airfare was available. This discount applied to
domestic travel on participating airlines and commuter carriers for
any approved, official University travel.

This discount was to be available for your use until February 9, 1997
or until total discounts to eligible governmental entities of $40
million has been reached, whichever occurred first. This is to
advise you that we have been notified by the Office of the President
that the $40 million limit has been reached.

Therefore; effective today, August 19, 1996, the discount is no longer
available. Please view the Travel Home Page during the next few weeks
for any new agreements and reduced fares that might be offered:
