ACADEMIC SENATE: SAN DIEGO DIVISION June 2, 1997 TO: ALL ACADEMIC SENATE MEMBERS SUBJECT: Commencement Ceremony - June 14, 1997 The June 14 Saturday morning Graduation Ceremony promises to be a special event for UCSD, and many members of the campus community have been diligently working to ensure the occasion's success. We are pleased that President Clinton has chosen UCSD to make a major policy address regarding "diversity of the American people". However, his visit does present logistical and planning challenges that call for cooperation and patience on the part of all participants. Following is information pertinent to faculty who are participating in the Commencement Ceremony. We will continue to keep you informed as needed.
