Subject: The Office of Sexual Harassment Policy and Prevention
The Office of Sexual Harassment Policy and Prevention (OSHPP) will continue to function under Interim Director Nancy Wahlig until a new director has been recruited. A management review of OSHPP, conducted by an intercampus committee chaired by Rita E. Walker, Title IX Coordinator/Sexual Harassment Officer at UC Santa Cruz, was completed in August. I have appointed a Work Group (a list of its members is appended) to consider the review committee's recommendations and report back to me by early November. Recruitment for a new OSHPP director will begin soon thereafter.
Current UCSD policies and procedures remain in force. If you believe you have been sexually harassed, you are encouraged to discuss your options and learn about campus procedures by talking with one of the Information Advisors listed in the Campus Directory under Sexual Harassment. Or you may speak directly with Interim Director Nancy Wahlig at 534-8297 or 534-5793.
