Due to the positive responses to the Procurement Forums held recently at
various locations, we are pleased to announce the date, time, and location
for an additional Procurement Information Forum. This forum will introduce
important information about procurement initiatives that will affect the
way in which our campus customers purchase and pay for goods and services.
We will cover topics about the planned increase in the departmental
purchasing authority to $2500, the Express Card program (procurement card),
and the Express Procurement Information Center (EPIC).
If you were unable to attend one of the previously scheduled forums, the
following session is your opportunity to obtain the information first hand.
While everyone has been invited to attend the forums, those involved
with any aspect of the procurement process should plan on attending:
Thursday October 23 1:30 - 3:00 P.M. Pacific Hall, Room 4500
Pacific Hall is located next to Urey Hall, Revelle College. We recommend
for those attending from remote areas of the campus to either take a campus
shuttle or obtain a valid UCSD campus parking permit.

IF YOU HAVE ATTENDED A PREVIOUS FORUM, please join us once again if you
have any further questions about these exciting initiatives. As a
reminder, let us know if your department is interested in having someone
attend one of the Express Card Departmental Administrator orientations by
sending email to expresscard@ucsd.edu and we will schedule you into one of
the open class spaces either on 10/29, 11/12, or 12/9.
