Annual Chancellor's State of the University Address

The UCSD Staff Association would like to invite you to attend their
Annual Chancellor's State of the University Address. Two open forum
sessions have been scheduled to provide opportunities for the campus
community to hear from me about current issues confronting the
University. Each of the sessions will include a question and answer
period. Light refreshments will be served.

The two open forum sessions have been scheduled as follows:

   GENERAL CAMPUS
   Monday, June 16, 1997
   Price Center - Ballroom A
   12 noon to 1:30 p.m.

   UCSD MEDICAL CENTER - HILLCREST
   Tuesday, June 17, 1997
   Medical Center Auditorium
   12 noon to 1:30 p.m.

I am approving a one hour administrative leave with pay for this annual
event. Supervisors may allow employees one hour of administrative
leave with pay to attend the event when the absence does not infringe
upon the performance of required job duties.
