OFFICE OF THE SENIOR VICE CHANCELLOR -
ACADEMIC AFFAIRS
July 21, 1997
ALL AT UCSD
SUBJECT: | Search for Assistant Vice Chancellor-Academic Personnel |
Assistant Vice Chancellor - Academic Personnel Nanette Caldararo has
accepted the position of Assistant Dean in the Division of Arts and
Humanities. Although the loss of Nanette's talents and counsel will
be felt throughout the academic departments and in the Senior Vice
Chancellor's office, I am pleased that the campus will continue to
benefit from her considerable skill and experience.
A search has been initiated to select a new Assistant Vice
Chancellor - Academic Personnel to assist incoming Senior Vice
Chancellor Marsha Chandler as she begins her new administration.
Because of the critical juncture of the arrival of Senior Vice
Chancellor-designate Chandler and the importance of this position on
the campus, the recruitment and selection of a successful candidate is
of the highest priority for the campus.
I am inviting the campus community to assist me in identifying
individuals with the experience, talent, and energy for the position.
Attached is a job description. For full consideration, please forward
nominations and resumes by August 1, 1997 to Pat Wong at mail code
0922, by facsimile to 822-0546, or electronically to sendcv@ucsd.edu.
