The Department of Biology and the University of California, San Diego have been deeply saddened by the loss of one of its most beloved colleagues and former Chair, Dr. Herbert Stern. To pay tribute to Dr. Stern's legacy in the department and within the UCSD community, and to remember a remarkable humanitarian, a Memorial Tribute and Reception will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 1998 at the Ida and Cecil Green Faculty Club at the University of California, San Diego.
