SUBJECT:	1997-98 Annual Service Awards Ceremony
It is my sincere pleasure to announce that the 31st Annual Service Awards
Ceremony will be held on Monday, June 8, 1998, in the Price Center
Ballroom. The Ceremony has been designed to acknowledge with special
recognition those UCSD employees who have achieved (ten) 10, (fifteen) 15,
twenty (20), twenty-five (25), thirty (30), and thirty-five (35) years of
service during the period of May 1, 1997 through April 30, 1998. This year
we will recognize and celebrate four-hundred and thirty (430) UCSD
employees.
The Ceremony will begin at 2:30 p.m. and will include presentation of
Awards and Certificates of Appreciation to ninety (90) employees who have
completed 25, 30, and 35 years of service. The celebration will also
include refreshments and music.
Vice Chancellors and Department Heads have been provided listings of the
employees in their respective areas who will be recognized at the June 8
event. All supervisors should encourage their employees who are to be
recognized to attend the Ceremony.
UCSD's continuing excellence is, in many respects, a reflection of the
commitment and contributions of the valued members of the campus community
who will be acknowledged at the Service Awards Ceremony.
