SUBJECT: 1998 UCSD Annual Staff Picnic
I am pleased to announce and invite you to the UCSD Staff Association's
Annual Staff Appreciation Picnic which will be held on Friday, August 14,
1998, from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at the Sun God Lawn. "LET THERE BE
STAFF" is the theme for this year's picnic. All University employees are
encouraged to attend this fun-filled event.
Picnic activities this year will include the 16th Annual Vice Chancellors'
Volleyball Tournament and a variety of other exciting games, music, an arts
and crafts vendor fair, bake sale, cake walk, door prizes, and clowns who
will paint faces and make balloon animals. A variety of food will be
available for purchase. T-shirts, featuring the LET THERE BE STAFF theme,
will be available for purchase at the Staff Association Information Booth.
All proceeds will benefit the UCSD Staff Association Scholarship fund.
Supervisors may grant employees two-hours of release time, in addition to
the regular half-hour lunch period, to attend the picnic if the absence
does not infringe upon the performance of required job responsibilities. Free parking will be available in lots 207 and 208 (north of Muir College)
during the picnic. If you have any other questions regarding the UCSD
