KEY ADMINISTRATORS / KEY SUPPORT STAFF
SUBJECT: | Discontinuance of Payroll Time Record Production |
The training, procedure changes and conversion from the paper-based
payroll timekeeping system to the electronic system has required your
effort and support and we sincerely appreciate it. We have trained
and converted approximately seventy five percent of the campus to
the new online system. However, our current supply of the multi-part
PTR form will be exhausted by November 1998. In order for us to
continue to serve the departments who have not converted to the online
system, we are working on a single sheet version of the PTR form. We
will start using the single sheet PTRs commencing with the biweekly
pay period of December 27, 1998 and the monthly pay period of
January 1, 1999. We will provide detailed information about their
use prior to the migration to the single sheet PTR. The single
sheet PTRs will be produced until June 1999, when PTR production will
cease completely.
In order to meet these deadlines, departments are encouraged to review
their current staff responsible for payroll timekeeping to ensure that
those employees with timekeeping responsibilities have completed the
necessary training. It is highly suggested that departments have a backup
timekeeper with access to online processing in case the primary timekeeper
is not available. If you have employees that need to complete the online
training, they can enroll for the next available class via the web at:

Please contact Payroll Customer Service at x43247 with any questions or
concerns you may have in the conversion to the Online Timekeeping System
or elimination of the current multi-part PTR.
