Join Team UCSD for WalkAmerica

This year, the March of Dimes celebrates its 60th anniversary of
helping children everywhere. From its successful fight against polio
to its current efforts to prevent birth defects and provide adequate
prenatal and neonatal care for infants, the March of Dimes has been
there for all of us. UCSD has been privileged to partner with the
March over the years by conducting more than $5 million worth of March
of Dimes-sponsored research on campus.

We now have an opportunity to salute the March in recognition of this
important anniversary and to further its many good works at UCSD and
elsewhere. By participating in the annual WalkAmerica on Saturday
morning, April 25, members of the UCSD family can show their support
in a most meaningful way. WalkAmerica is the leading source of funds
to support the March of Dimes.

You can join Team UCSD for the WalkAmerica by contacting one of the
campus team leaders listed below. There will T-shirts, refreshments,
and plenty of good fun for participants. But most of all, there will
the satisfaction of knowing that you are supporting the March of Dimes
which does so much to promote good health for us all.
