SUBJECT: | Traffic Alert - Construction of Recycled Water Pipeline |
On July 27, 1998, UCSD will begin construction of a pipeline system
to distribute recycled water for irrigation. This construction will take
place during weekdays and could cause vehicular and bicycle traffic
delays of up to five minutes between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and
4:00 p.m.
The following areas around the campus will be affected:
1. Hopkins Drive between the North Campus Information Booth
and Voight Drive
2. Voight Drive between Campus Point Drive and Interstate 5
3. Campus Point Drive southbound between Genesee Avenue
andVoight Drive
4. Miramar Street (North Mesa Housing entrance) between
Regents Road and the transit bus turnaround
Areas 1, 2, and 3 above will have construction complete prior to
September 21, 1998 when the campus shuttle bus
service resumes. Area 4 is scheduled for completion by October
23, 1998.
