SUBJECT: Electronic Access to UCSD Doctoral Dissertations
I am pleased to announce that members of the UCSD campus community with a UCSD email address can now access abstracts and a 24 page preview of completed UCSD doctoral dissertations. This service is through the University Microfilms, Inc. digital library of dissertations.
Through this site, you can:
* search citations and abstracts of dissertations and theses submitted by UCSD and published in UMI's Dissertation Abstracts database, * view 24 page previews of dissertations and theses published after 1996 (currently in production), and * download the full text of dissertations and theses published after 1996, free for authorized UCSD users.
Our site has been activated and can be accessed at the following URL: http://wwwlib.umi.com/cr/ucsd/main
We also have established links to the site through the following:
http://www-ogsr.ucsd.edu/current.htm and http://www-ogsr.ucsd.edu/facstaff.htm A link will soon be available on the Mandeville Special Collections Library site as well.
If you have questions regarding this site, please contact Roberta Weil in OGSR (rweil@ucsd.edu, x43552).
