On behalf of Chancellor Dynes, I am pleased to announce the 1998-99 Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action and Diversity Award Recipients.

In October, the 1998-99 Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action & Diversity Awards Program was announced to the campus community. The announcement invited and encouraged nominations to recognize those individuals, departments and organizational units who have made outstanding contributions to the diversification of the career staff work force at UCSD during the affirmative action reporting period for November 1, 1998 through October 31, 1999.

Accordingly, the award recipients are being recognized for their demonstrated outstanding commitment to valuing and promoting career staff work force diversity at UCSD and exemplary support of UCSD's Principles of Community.
