William D. McElroy Memorial Tribute

You are invited to join family, friends and the UCSD community for
a tribute to Dr. William D. McElroy, fourth Chancellor of the
University of California, San Diego. To honor Dr. McElroy's legacy
at UCSD, in the San Diego community and the nation, a memorial tribute
and reception will be held Monday, May 24, 1999 at 4:30 p.m. in the
Ida and Cecil Green Faculty Club.

An Endowed Annual Lectureship in Biochemistry has been established in
honor of Dr. McElroy. Contributions to his memory may be made to the
UC San Diego Foundation and sent to UCSD, c/o Kathleen Brownell,
9500 Gilman Drive, La Jolla, CA 92093-0346.
