1999 UCSD Annual Staff Appreciation Picnic

I am pleased to announce and invite you to the UCSD Staff
Association's Annual Staff Appreciation Picnic, which will
be held on Friday, August 13, 1999, from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
at the Sun God Lawn. "UCSD Staff Hang Loose" is the theme for
this year's picnic. All University employees are encouraged to
attend this fun-filled event.

Picnic activities this year will include the 17th Annual Vice
Chancellor's Volleyball Tournament and a variety of other
exciting games, music, an arts and craft vendor fair, bake sale,
cake walk, door prizes, and clowns who will paint faces and make
balloon animals. A variety of foods will be available for purchase.
T-shirts featuring the UCSD STAFF HANG LOOSE theme will be available
for purchase at the Staff Association Information Booth. All proceeds
will benefit the UCSD Staff Association Scholarship fund.

Supervisors may grant employees two hours of release time in addition
to the regular half hour for lunch to attend the picnic if the absence
does not infringe upon the performance of required job duties.

Free parking is available in lots 207 and 208 (north of Muir College)
during the picnic. If you have any other questions regarding the UCSD
