SUBJECT:  40th Anniversary Calendar

UCSD's 40th anniversary year, officially designated as June, 2000, to June, 2001, will include a Master Calendar of special events selected as "40th Anniversary" celebrations.

Departments are encouraged to submit items to the calendar which are being created especially for the 40th anniversary, demonstrate community outreach or could be considered as a "gift" to the community. Events designated as 40th anniversary can be either a special one time occasion, such as the Alumni Association's "Proud to be 40th" gala and the Preuss School dedication in October, or an annual event such as the Supercomputer Science Enrichment program for middle school students held in May.

Items should be submitted to the Master Calendar, which can be found on the web at http://ucsdnews.ucsd.edu/calendar/Eventinstruction.asp. When filling out the online submission forms, you MUST include the phrase 40th Anniversary in the title, as these events will be kept on a separate calendar. If you need assistance with the online registration form or would prefer to submit your event via fax, please call 4-3120 or email oanonas@ucsd.edu.

Thank you for your interest and participation in this calendar project. Aspects of these events will be used broadly throughout the anniversary year.
