SUBJECT:  Appointment of Director of Psychological and Counseling Services

I am pleased to announce that Bruce Meyer, PhD, has been selected as the new Director of Psychological and Counseling Services. Dr. Meyer will begin his duties on September 18, 2000, replacing Dr. John Giebink who has retired.

Dr. Meyer was the Clinical Director of Psychological and Counseling Services at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Prior to holding that position, he was Director of Psychological and Counseling Services at the University of Minnesota in Duluth from 1989 to 1994. He received his PhD degree in Counseling Psychology from Texas Tech University and a M.S. degree in Counseling from Indiana University.

Dr. Meyer comes highly recommended and was strongly endorsed by those who interacted with him on campus. Please welcome Bruce Meyer to his new position. I know he will be dedicated to maintaining the high level of mental health care provided to our students.
