Subject:  UCSD On-Line Giving Now Available

UCSD External Relations is pleased to announce the availability of a website to accept secure on-line charitable donations to UCSD and the UCSD Foundation. External Relations created this site as a service to donors and friends who wish to make a gift quickly and easily. As more and more people join the on-line world, it has become almost mandatory to offer these types of services to tech-savvy donors.

The site accepts credit card information from a donor to make a new gift, respond to a billing for a pledge payment, respond to a special event or other solicitation letter, and to join the UCSD Alumni Association. All donor information and credit card numbers are secured and transferred via an encrypted connection. Gifts submitted on-line are reviewed and processed by UCSD Gift Processing staff.

If you would like to review the on-line site and refer donors to it, the web address is http://www-er.ucsd.edu/GiveToUCSD. Please ask donors to designate your department or event at UCSD so that the gift can be appropriately directed. Gift Processing always appreciates receiving a copy of your donor solicitation material so that we can plan our workflow accordingly.

Please be aware that the UCSD External Relations website is under development. You can expect to see changes in the "look" of these pages in the future, and enhancements to their functionality.
