April 11, 2000 ACADEMIC SENATE MEMBERS
The results of the April 7, 2000 Academic Senate Election are as follows: Vice Chair (Chair Designate) for a two-year term, effective September 1, 2000, through August 31, 2002 [the first year will be served as Vice Chair (Chair Designate) and the second year as Chair of the San Diego Division: Michael A. Bernstein (History) Divisional Representatives to the Assembly of the Academic Senate (systemwide) for two-year terms, effective September 1, 2000 through August 31, 2002:

Alternates: Edmund J. Fantino (Psychology) Committee on Committees member from a Social Sciences department for a term effective April 7, 2000 through August 31, 2002: Robert B. Horwitz (Communication) Committee on Committees member from an Arts department for a three-year term effective September 1, 2000 through August 31, 2003: Edwin L. Harkins (Music) Committee on Committees member from a Humanities department for a three-year term effective September 1, 2000 through August 31, 2003: Paul M. Churchland (Philosophy) Committee on Committees member from a School of Medicine department for a three-year term effective September 1, 2000 through August 31, 2003: Michael N. Oxman (Medicine/Pathology) The number of valid ballots cast in this election was 513, which represents a 37% turnout of the current Senate membership.
